Pranav's host family, the Kinds are planning a farewell party at Features in Holmen Tuesday, July 17th from 5-8pm. Lisa Kind is donating a barrel of beer that she won from a previous Rotary event. In addition, there will be some food provided. Please consider attending and if you can, respond that you "intend to attend" so we might provide a head count. Otherwise, Lisa and I will have to drink a lot of beer alone! Help us out and make a great farewell party for Pranav! He really enjoys celebrations and he will not likely forget this event. |

It is that time again for Kornfest. One of the fundraising activities that Holmen Area Rotary Club has participated in is the Kornfest Bingo Tent. HARC has provided the manpower to make Saturday's game happen. It is a lot of fun and constant action with serious gamblers swapping dollars. The proceeds are split between the Legion and Holman's Hope. We are looking for the following volunteers- Leader, callers and runners.

Join us for the first Club Assembly of the year. Club Assembly takes place in lieu of a speaker or program. Every month on the second Wednesday we dedicate time to meet together during a regular Club Meeting to do the work of the club and to hear from each committee Chairperson. Immediately after Club Assembly we will adjourn the regular meeting and the Board Meeting will commence. All members are welcome to attend the Board Meeting, but you have to be a Board Member to make a motion. This month at assembly we would like to dedicate at least a half hour to our committees. Anyone who has or does not have a post on a committee should be in attendance. One, to find out what's going on with the Club and two, where they can best serve the Club, the Community and the World. The Rotary Motto after all is SERVICE ABOVE SELF. A few extra minutes will be given to the Fundraising Committee to talk about an idea to replace the Packer Raffle for 2019 and I am sure this would be a good time to start preparing for our Service Auction in April. I hope to see everyone there. |
